So a while back (more than a month or so) I submitted my blog to be reviewed at Ask and Ye Shall Receive. I did it after Miss Britt had (for her previous site). Figured I could get some feedback from someone who doesn't know me. It's a completely self-serving "ooh, ooh, like me!" desire for feedback. Hopefully positive feed back. (Quick, go read it, then come back.)
So, maybe not so much. I mean, she didn't despise me, but it definitely wasn't love, either. Maybe it would have been better if she hadn't lost a day due to a hangover. Or, maybe she would have torn a new hole in me instead of giving me a flaming finger for having the auto-play thing on my blog. I guess having a standard template isn't all the rage. Whatever. I say, it's my blog and you people read it, so it must be okay. As Amanda pointed out, you have a mute button if you don't like the music. And as I'll point out, there's a big red X up there in the corner if you hate it. Maybe I should just quit pimping myself out.
I think I might need to add a section to the side bar. You see, my daily posts aren't always funny. Not every day in my life is exciting. If someone meanders over here from another site on one of my average days, they might not understand why people keep tuning in. I mean, who didn't like the story of my bro's cell phone? Or when I introduced the new whipping boy? What about when I was locked in the office? And we'll go way back (before most of you were even here) for how the post office stole Christmas. No wonder she didn't love me. She didn't see this stuff. And it's in there, it's quality stuff, it's just not an every day thing.
Hmmmm, maybe I'll try to get reviewed by someone else who will love me more. Or maybe I'll just keep getting my lovin' from all of you. Besides, you're the ones who count. Aaawwww, I think I just made myself throw up a little bit.

I love you Tif and your blog too (it helps me chuckle while I'm chasing my three kids around all day......us moms need that "live vicariously" outlet you know), even if smucks like "Matt" read it and post foolish & disparaging comments about your friends. ~AMY in CT
Just checking in to see how you're doing. You have a great blog. Thanks for being a link buddy with me and visiting! I love the comments you leave on my site. Have a great day tomorrow. Mimi Lenox
Need a little unconditional love and a slice of pie or two on the side? Point Tough Lucy Dodge south and head for the farm. You've been gone a long time and we haven't moved and not told you yet......
Funny days, ordinary days, lousy days... I am grateful for them all and the link this site keeps at the ready when I need a "fix".
PEg and I hate the autoplay music...we just turn down the volume. It's not the music choices that both you and Amanda choose, it's the fact that you are forcing me to listen to them when I am trying to get in the moment of YOUR story; But I digress. I think she was reviewing your blog not as a family/friends thing, but as a marketable item.
I would agree with you that she probably didn't see your best posts...maybe that is what you should put under "stuff you may have missed" and rename it "The Funniest Shit ever"
Then move it to the top.
I guess I agree with the "check out the cool kids" feedback. I have no idea what those links lead to from the text, so I don't click them. I am probably missing out on alot...
BUUU-uuut, and This is a pretty big but...we read your blog because we know you already and want to keep in touch, the entertainment and ease of use issues are secondary to the primary goal.
To be honest--I'd read any blog with a title as great as yours. I have the same template as you. I love the "check out the cool kids" sidebar descriptions--I like adventuring into the unknown.
I think your blog is fab. Keep posting and I'll keep reading.
WG,
This is the worst piece of crap on the Internet--ever! Stop it! LOL.
I actually like the white-girl country thing you've got going on. Makes me proud to be an American.
And if they don't like it they can get the heck out of MY country.
What? You don't get points for having fabulous shoes?
Amy in CT,
Give me a break! I thought you were someone else who was posting nasty and disparing comments on MY blog.
Ouch. Gaaaawd.
Foolish? You need to learn how to spell the word "schmucks" correctly. :)
Matt, and you clearly need to learn how to spell "disparaging".....smuck (whoops schmuck) ~Amy
Easy mama bear. It's okay, my friend tells me women lose 15 IQ points as soon as they "bear" children.
'Scuse me, Amy from CT, I have to "go bye-bye" now. U Cacahead.
(Sorry, WG, I can't resist a good fight.)
Hi Tiffany with 2 f's. I don't ask people like her for their criticisms because they have to come up with something to critique. I went with much simpler than you, and I decided on black and white, like a book because it's easy to read and i am 900 years old. I don't use pictures like you do, and a lot of what i write is pure fiction, I believe you called it "bs" yesterday. Even you don't come very often. I come here 15.7 times more than you go to my blog. Using differential analysis, you can easily infer that your blog is clearly 15.7 times better than mine, and you'd be pretty close to correct.
Now, we come to the critical question, Batman. So what.
When you can tell me what quality is, I will drop everything. In the meantime, some stranger with a weird name telling you about the music and the template is not quality. Knowing about your father's operation, that's a 'real issue' and I want to know. Really.
I am behind on writing to you about why I should be drinking 64 oz of water a day, and I can always ask the PT I have. I haven't heard anything about the dog and cat for eons and that's an important issue to me. I don't know what kind of pie your mom has, but I have never had the ultimate pie crust or pie filling recipe, and you know I have posted some fabulous recipes, or maybe you don't know.
Well, that's the responsibility of having a better blog. Now, who are you going to believe, me or whoever passed through last night with a hangover?
WG, PLease don't ban me from your blog--it'd be the second one this week. Thanks.
Amy and Matt- don't you two make me come back there! I'll make you hold hands until you stop fighting!
Mimi- thanks. I stop by there frequently, just haven't commented lately. A return to lurking? And sorry I forgot about the Peace Globe thing. I'll do better next time.
Baker- but you know how fun I am in real life!
Turnbaby- Thanks! It's always fun to get a FUN new person!
CEO- but I do come by every day! And I love your blog! I have read the recipes but haven't tried them yet. More on Dad in today's post. The dog and cat are boring sometimes too. It's a true story.
Matt- you're not banned, but you do have to play nice.
I was just being sarcastic, to outsarcastic the stupid review. You aren't writing a professionally written blog. Besides, you aren't 15.7 times better, it's more like 15.865.
Your father is really more important than all of this.
Now, about those pies!
I like your blog the way it is. If I don't want to listen then I hit mute but you blog is how I found Nickel Creek and I love them. Thanks.
